Thank you for notifying us about this matter. Malwares keep evolving and there’s a chance that files installed by Spyware Protector 2009 right now are different from the files it installed when we examined the infection. We will update the manual removal as soon as possible.

Hello dav,
You are not right about “deleting” Spyware Protector 2009 from processes. Stopping processes can stop the malware for the moment but if you want to remove infection completely, there are other things to delete. Spyware Protector 2009 and other frauds like that are made of bunch of files and registry entries and you have to delete all of them. Please, follow manual removal guide above the comments sections to erase Spyware Protector2009.

I have tried to open the hosts file and add the spywar protector 2009 and it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. This is very frustrating. I am not very technical when it comes to computers so I need someone to tell me how to get rid of this thing as if they were talking to a 2 year old. Can someone help me before i pull my hair out.

If you find the manual removal a bit complicated, the automatic removal tool might be a better choice for you.

I have never heard of Spyware Protect 2009 before… I was just sitting at my computor minding my own, and out of nowhere I get these alerts from this random software that i don’t have installed. I already have spyware alert software and it works fine. All I want is to know how to get the pop-ups from this scamming software to go away. They occur literally twice a every minute. Just by typing this comment I’ve had to “x” out of the pop-up maybe 10 times. How do i get this to stop.

Have you tried removing the infection manually? You can find Spyware Protect 2009 removal right here. And Spyware Protector 2009 removal guide is above the comments section on this page.
If you find manual removal too complicated, i recommend downloading anti-spyware to clean your PC.

You can delete Spyware Protect 2009 and Spyware Protector 2009 manually. You can also download anti-spyware on another PC and transfer the install to the infected computer on a thumb drive or cd.

How do I perform this task? Do I download the software to a separate CPU and then just load it onto a thumb drive? What about the registry keys that go with it?

Yes, you simply need to download the install files of anti-spyware on another computer and then copy it on a thumb drive. Don’t install the program on another computer and you won’t need to copy the registry keys.
