Securebit a.k.a. Securebit Technologies is a rogue program. It’s named like antimalware and it’s designed to look like antimalware but the (relatively) nice look hides a computer infection. Securebit is just another cyber fraud targeting your money.
Securebit does not function as a malware remover. However, it is able to imitate system scan and infection warnings. Those fake notifications are convincing enough to trick victims of Securebit into paying for the “tool”. Avoid the trap: Securebit is only able to mimic security programs. Do not pay for non-existent services.
Securebit may also lock your desktop and display the following message:
Infected files have been detected on your PC.
359 Infected files found.
It is recommended to run a full system scan and clean your PC.
For Support Call 1-800-862-2015 (Toll Free US/Canada)
The alert is highly inaccurate as the “infected files” are made up and the “free antivirus” costs $30-50USD.
