I hope I can get the removal tool to download, as I have the problem. It started to download awhile ago, but was interrupted. Will try again. I appreciate your help and if I can get this problem fixed I will re-visit your site.

I’ve tried to use the mirror download, not sure if i’m doing it right, but regardless the removal file keeps getting interrupted. You can send emails, as I will be checking them on an older uninfected computer. Not sure what to do, other than try again, may have to attempt to do it manually.

I finally got it download today, but not able to run it, even in safe mode. I think I have a newer version of the virus malware. Guess I’ll have to try something else. The files given above con’t show up in searches either of course the malware may have the search procedure corrupted or have the files masked. Don’t know.

I know this may sound simplistic but I’ve had great luck removing the various iterations of this rogue antispyware on different machines by simply using the system restore that comes with Windows XP, Vista & 7. The first time I was asked to help with this issue I spent days working to rid the machine of all traces of the malware only to end up doing a system restore. Now I skip all the rigamarole and just go straight to system restore (unless the person I’m helping does not have any useful restore points).
