Thanks for the info. AVG 8.0237 took care of some, Malwarebyte’s Anti-Malware others, but I still had to reinstall IE and regain admin rights over Task Manager. who are these people and why can’t the cc companies cut them off?

Wow. It’s FRIDAY the 13th and it seems that XP Police has come out IN FORCE today…as I’m obviously one of MANY who have had the darn rogue parasite slap me up silly, too, even while I was using Firefox 3! I’m thankful I have this place to do the manual…in case my scan right now doesn’t do the trick… Many thanks, gallant heroes. We pitiful cyber weaklings are grateful.

there is no difference in spyware removal between 32bit and 64bit windows. Spyware Doctor spyware removal tool works in 32bit and 64bit windows. If you would like to remove it manually you should remove processes, registries and other files related to XP Police Antivirus.
