I got this stupid malware and had no luck searching for the pw.exe or pezware entires in my registry. However I did find pz.exe and sezware. With those names in mind I was able to follow the manual removal instructions and banished it from my computer. I never did find any entries for msascui.exe. Very frustrating but relieved it is gone.

I don’t see how to remove this if my computer will not load up. After the welcome screen it says I need to run a scan with Internet Security 2100 for Windows XP. If I don’t it just hangs there and I cannot do anything. No start button or icons but my background shows. I can’t search for anything.

My parents computer also caught this virus. On theirs the process is named “tdv.exe”, so it apparently uses random letter combinations?

Guys you don’t need to keep posting the EXE. The guy who wrote this article obviously didn’t think about it.

If you get access denied, rename the file and delete it on reboot. Good luck finding it again, virus!

It depends on what kind of information you shared. Changing your passwords is a good idea. Also, if they have your online banking account details, you should call your local bank authorities and explain what happened.
