I looked for these files, processes, etc. and removed whatever I found which matched but I didn’t find many. Despite that, things calmed down a bit. I could not load anti-virus software or download Spyware doctor because this vicious program hijacked my cd/dvd player’s functionality and wouldn’t let me navigate to spyware doctor’s site. Even after I manually removed whatever files I could locate, and was able to get to the website and download Spyware doctor, I couldn’t run it because it was interfered with by this program. Truly the perverts who design and inflict these types of programs on us are EVIL villains, they steal our time and energy, the two most valuable and irreplaceable things we have. If I were a computer genius, which I certainly am not, I would figure out how to completely destroy these criminals computers so each time their horrible program infected some innocent person’s computer it would bounce right back into their little rat’s nest hidey hole destroying their files and emptying their bank accounts.

you can try to format your harddrive and reinstall a fresh copy of Windows OS. Basically, all your files are hijacked. Just start off fresh!!!

I have tried deleting all the files that have been listed on this site and several sites. I am unable to delete desot, which is what stops the running of any sort of program and is really the biggest nuissance. It also stops things from being run in safe mode. I have been working for almost 3 hours now trying to manually delete this, as no programs are able to be run to wipe it out completely due to the nature of the virus. If anyone knows any way to successfully manually delete this, please let me know ASAP

You should consider the option of running anti-spyware scan. It will be easier way to deal with the infection.

The version I contracted is especially insidious, has virtually stopped everything, and opening in safe mode will not help, it says I lack permission to run anything even tho I changed the file names for anti malware I downloaded. I cannot get into my user accounts or anything on my control panel either to try to work around it. I am at a loss. B*st*rds!

I have tried to purchase 2 or more spyware programs since being infected tonight. Each time I try to download and run the program I get the “impossible” message from Windows Anti virus.
I turned off wireless and was able to run Norton and got a message that all my Windows files need to be restored. Is there a number to call to get help? I am a complete computer idiot.

The safe mode is not necessary for removing Windows Antivirus Pro manually. I recommend printing the manual removal guide on some other computer and then following the tutorial to delete the malware on your machine.

The windows anti virus pro will not let you run task manager. If it doesn’t let you run task manager, you can’t shut down the processes therefore you cannot delete the files. Try downloading a program like Killbox (killbox.net), but it will not let it run even if you rename the files. If you rename the files it still stops the scan, freezes the install, or it just tells you that it is infected and to update your virus scanner. All the solutions online (including this one) work only if you can run task manager or a program to kill the proccesses. Since they have updated their crap to kill that too, we are screwed.
They have got us with this new stuff, until something changes we are all screwed by this. Can’t shut down the processes, can’t run .exe files, can’t even rename .exe files to run spydoctor (or spybot, or superantispyware, or malwarebytes’), we’re all screwed dude! Everybody back to the drawing board because these fixes on the net are NOT working anymore.
