Vista Antivirus Pro 2010 may prevent you from browsing the web so I recommend printing the manual removal guide on another PC. And then you can simply follow the removal tutorial step by step.

I fell victim to this nasty virus today and it totally had me stumped, not to mention my blood pressure boiling. All the fixes i found online would not work no matter what I did. I ended up chatting with a rep from Microsoft and he had me a system restore. You will lose any downloads, which ones depends on what date you choose to restore to. You will not lose any files or documents to my knowledge. Here are the steps that I went through.
CLICK:
1. Start button in lower left corner (circle button with windows icon)
2. Programs or All Programs
3. Accessories
4. System Tools
5. System Restore
Once you click System Restore it may take a few seconds but a box will pop up bringing you to the restore wizard. Click the next button. It will take you to a screen showing some restore dates, make sure the box is checked in the lower left corner that says show dates older than 5 days. Once you have done this just pick a date and finish the restore process. You will want to choose a date that you can remember your computer running properly. Depending on the date you choose it can take a while to complete. Your computer will restart when its done. Its a good idea to run a scan as soon as you’re up and running to make sure all is good.
Hope this helps, Im praying this never happens to me again.

I have another computer that my wife uses and if has this Vista antivirus 2010 Pro rogue program that I cannot remove. I cannot even find where it is burried in the system. It completly takes over MSN and Microsoft sites. I cannot find any of the files on the computer. Where else could it be hiding.
I could really use some help on this as I feel lost for the first time in chasing down a virus.
I would appreciate an easy step by step process to remove. There should be a class action suite on this company as they will collect money for the unwanted product and hold your computer hostage until you either remove it or pay them.
Anyone know how to contact them?

Vista Antivirus Pro 2010 is a computer infection installed by trojans so your permission is irrelevant. You can delete this malware using manual removal guide posted above the comments on this page.

TRY SAVING ALL OF YOUR PERSONAL FILE’S TO A DVD OR EXTERNAL HARDDRIVE AND RESTORING THE ENTIRE SYSTEM AS IF YOU HAD JUST PURCHASED IT FROM THE STORE.
THIS WILL WORK, BECAUSE IT DELETES EVERYTHING THAT WAS NOT ON THE COMPUTER TO BEGIN WITH, INCLUDING THAT CURSED ANTI-VIRAL CRAP!!
