I had this problem with my PC. However, the way I got rid of it was to find the name of the file through task manager in my case ouv.exe. Stopped it temporally using task manager. Located the file deleted it. But as it associated it’s self with all the ms office programs, they would not run. So picked a restore point which I knew the pc was not infected and rebooted, problem solved. I run Vista.

The easiest, quickest and safest way to delete any malware is to do a SYSTEM RESTORE on your computer. It is part of Microsoft Operating system software so you know it is not a fake answer that will corrupt your computer. Hit the Start button. In the search cell, write, “system restore” then follow the instructions. Choose a restore time that is the most recent before your computer was infected. I just did it on my computer to delete malware that took over my internet–Ran System Restore, clicked on internet, no problem — and the program is gone from the system tray.

The removal method doesn’t include how to achieve removal. A more detailed removal process would own, IE open regedit by opening the start menu, and typing regedit in the search box. Then instructions on how to navigate to the correct place, how to delete the items, information like.. not all computers will have all the infected files and HKEYS, stuff like that.

The removal instructions do not include more detailed explanation, however there are links next to each process/dll/registry entry box to detailed tutorial. For example, there is box named “Locate and delete Vista Antivirus 2012 registry entries” which contains a list of malicious registries and a link to “Read more how to delete Vista Antivirus 2012 registry entries”. As for navigation to finding malicious files, we usually post paths to them, like “%AllUsersProfile%\Application Data\u3f7pnvfncsjk2e86abfbj5h”.This means that you should open “All Users” folder on your computer (it’s usually on disc C, but it depends on your configuration), find “Application Data” folder there, find “u3f7pnvfncsjk2e86abfbj5h” folder inside “Application Data” and delete it.

It may look complitated when squeezed into a comment, but it’s pretty simple if you follow links to detailed tutorials provided on the manual removal. If you have any questions regarding deleting malware manually, feel free to post them here. We are glad to help + other visitors may share some useful insights with you.

First of all, go through the manual removal. Even if you’re not very familiar with deleting registries, once you stop Vista Antivirus 2012 processes, you will be able to run security tools or to download a decent antimalware. If that does not help, try the same thing but this time do it in a safe mode.

I got this virus recently and completed system restore on my computer. When my computer loads it freezes and it is not working. I can’t even get on the internet or do anything else on it. What should I do?

upon trying to install REAL antivirus software other than Microsoft Security Essentials, I achieve the following popup error:

Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

with further investigation I find that there is another user account named asp.net machine and that I am not being allowed access to my security option in the control panel. after an 11 hour FULL scan by MSE several trojans and virus’s were removed but I still have these issues. I’m not familiar with hotkey registry things….

    Any thoughts?
