VirusFighter is another scam trying to get your money via misleading advertisements. Virus Fighter is distributed as a trial version of an anti-virus tool. The program is not able to perform a single function typical for a security program. However, it will ask you to pay for using the VirusFighter.

    Uhm, VirusFighter from SpamFighter is a legitimate antivirus product, with the underlying engine provided by Norman Antivirus. SpamFighter is a well-regarded security software company with over 6.5m users.

    You must be confusing this malware with a legitimate tool. Naming fraudulent programs after real tools is a common practice used by scammers to trick people into purchasing a useless thing.

    Sorry – that was meant to be Norman. I have been trying to work out if this is rogue software or not. A colleague has been in touch with the director, who says there are 2 Virus Fighters around, and one of them is rogue, but he is not going to attempt to sort it out for the sake of his customers. Some responsibility huh?
