[...] Avcheker.com is one of several deceptive sources that distribute Virus Protector malicious program. The counterfeit web page presents application as a decent anti-spyware tool. It is a scam. Do not believe any information it displays you, because it may cause you serious troubles and more viruses onto your computer. This supposedly legitimate program is a useless. It can’t detect and remove computer security alerts therefore they don’t even exist. That is why you don’t need to purchase this rogue program. Your PC is safe and all security warnings you can ignore. Instead, you’re recommended to remove this hijacker together with the rogue Virus Protector anti-spyware. [...]

You need anti-spyware to delete Virus Protector. Anti-virus won't help because it's meant to remove different type of computer infections.

This is a VIRUS! this morning two of my neighbours got it at the same time. It hijacked their computer and it's not possible to get pass the protector scan screen. The people behind this should hang!!! I tried to start msconfig and turned off all startup programs, but one it tried to restart the pc it was back. I even took out the whole hardisk and scanned it with AVG from another pc. It did not find it!!! When trying to search for solutions on this none of the antivirus companies have found out about this (Do they want to???). Anyone found any solutions out there??
