ha i was soooooo lucky when i got this stupid virus i was really pissed then after i rebooted my computer a few times it Total Security just froze and i ran a scan with superantispyware and it got rid of it!

What an annoying virus this is indeed I still had my normal wallpaper when I just booted the comp, so I figured the virus was somewhere in my booting programs. I got some program called Malware Bytes on my desktop, once my comp booted I directly opened it. Since the virus wasn’t active at the time it opened and I was able to scan + remove. If that wouldn’t work then my 2nd thing to try would be what Luciana said idd, go into Safe Mode (press f8 when booting comp) and run some removal tool there. Or maybe even use System Recovery if you really cant get rid of this annoying thing. Another thing I was going to try was to try and see if I could disable it if it was along with my other Boot programs. To do that go to execute, and type msconfig. Go to the bootup tab and see if you can disable it through this (not sure if this works, just a thing I was gonna try if option 1 didn’t work). Hoped this helped a bit, and thanks Luciana for being such a big help aswell. Gl!

Booting up in normal mode, I was dissapointed to find that I did not get rid of the total security 4.52. Since I got the virus I turned of my wifi because I did not want to get any more viruses. I’m not sure if I can get on since it seems like total security is blocking all programs I try to run!

Since manual removal isn’t very helpful in your case, i recommend running anti-spyware scan.

I got Total Secutrity 4.52 on my pc recently. I tried to remove it manually, but I can’t find none of the files, exes, dlls or registries, mentioned in the guide. I can’t even stop its processes ‘cos there is no tsc.exe, Sc2C21UvvM.exe in the Task Manager Panel.
At the same time, the icon is isntalled on the tool bar and the program is running “properly”.How do I get rid of it?

Booting is a normal mode is OK. Delete the remains of infection in a normal mode and then run antispyware once again.

In safe mode I cannot burn DVDs or CDs, how can I get my data out in safe mode?
I ran ad-aware in safemode and it found the Trojan, but there were still some files in the temp Internet folder that I could not delete. Is it safe to reboot normally? I did a search on the hard drive and did not find any “tsc” files of any kind. Thanks for the help in advance.

Use the manual removal guide. Norton is not supposed to delete this infection.

“0″ for the value data instead of a “1″ means the registry value is normal. If you don’t receive any pop-ups and your web browser is not redirected, your computer is most likely fine.

TS has changed there file names apparently. None of the 3 file names you mention under “Stop and remove Total Security 4.52 processes” are on my infected computer. Add and remove programs in Windows doesn’t show that any such program is installed. There are no TS or TSC files in Program Files on the C: drive. It’s hiding somewhere!

Hi, I just got this darn malware this morning & I think I got MOST of it using Malwarebytes (I’m currently running a FULL scan again to be super sure).

I went in manually to all the place outlined above & none show..EXCEPT these in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center “AntiVirusOverride” = “1″
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center “FirewallOverride” = “0″

Just to be sure, am I COMPLETELY deleting these lines from the location in the registry or changing them to zeros?? The latter registry line shows a “0″ for the value data instead of a “1″ so it through me off a bit. My Avast anti-virus popped up a little while ago with a “suspicious file found” out of the blue on some generic executable, so I’m guessing their are still some remnants on my PC of Total Security 4.52. Appreciate the help if any.

It seems that Total Security 4.52 has already deleted files necessary for Windows to run properly. I recommend reinstalling the operating system.

cannot stay on the computer for long enough to be able to find the files that need removing as Total Security gives me the big blue screen of death. I also cannot start in safe mode as another blue screen appears telling me that there has been an arror doing so could harm my computer. So basically, i cant remove the malware – is this correct?

Booting a system in a safe mode is not necessary for the manual removal. Follow the removal guidelines provided above the comments section.

I have done everything we recommended to do to manually removel the total security from my machine. The only spot it is showing up and visible is the quick launch bar down by the clock and that is it. Not in Add & remove or anywhere else can it be seen. Help!!! any other suggestions. Can not start my machine in safe mode, can’t get on internet now, could this morning but not now. Thank goodness my husband has another computer that I can use. I just need some suggestions. This is a brand new computer, only 2 week old. I am just sick and do not know how I even got it.

Safe mode doesn’t work. None of the files to delete show up in searches. The automatic removal programs are seen and reported as infected by the virus program, so they don’t work. All the other solutions involve me spending money I don’t have. What is the big difference in those who create these sorts of malicious programs, and those who wait with a solution to get it off your puter, but want money for it? Who is the ISP of those who are sending out total security 4.52? Where are governments is hunting down those responsible for this program? Why, if the case is that the perpetrator is invincible to punishment, can’t a government simply provide a solution to removing the virus?

This dipshits who create these damn fake rogue shit and try to mess up other people’s computers piss me off…..you know how i removed it?? if it dosent let you open task manager then quickly log off then log back in and then quickly do Ctrl-alt-delete while everything is loading and then quickly end the tsc crap shit proccess and then you will be able to open Add and Remove programs. and then remove that bullshit stuff….

Boot your computer in a safe mode and Total Security won’t be able to block anti-spyware. I strongly recommend removing the infection manually. This way you can know for sure that every malicious file is deleted.

I DOWNLOADED THE REMOVAL TOOL AND RAN IT, WOULDN’T WORK. SAVED IT, WOULDN’T WORK, THE DAMN TOOL SECURITY KEEPS REJECTING ALL FILES THAT WANT TO OPEN. HOW DO I KNOW IF IT’S WORKING OR NOT, IF TOOL SECURITY KEEPS SAYING THAT THE .EXE FILES WON’T OPEN….HELP!
