System Security 4.52 description
System Security 4.52 is the newest variant of System Security and System Security 2009 frauds. The malware spreads via trojans that are masked as video codecs.
The purpose of SystemSecurity 4.52 is pushing people into purchasing full version of the program. Since System Security 4.52 is a malware and the full version doesn’t exist, the deal is definitely not worth time and money.
SystemSecurity4.52 makes it almost impossible to use a computer in a normal mode by killing certain system processes. It also blocks antivirus and antispyware programs to prevent user from deleting the infection. Booting the compromised computer in a safe mode is usually the only way to run a removal tool or to remove System Security 4.52 manually.
System Security 4.52 generates infection alerts and changes wallpaper into the following message:
WARNING!
YOU‘RE IN DANGER!
YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED WITH SPYWARE!
All you do with your computer is stored forever in your hard disk. When you visit sites, send emails… All your actions are logged. And it is impossible to remove them with standard tools. Your data is still available for forensics. And in some cases
For your boos, your friends, your wife, your children.
Every site you or someody or even something, like spyware opened in your browsers, with all the images, and all the downloaded and maybe later removed movies or mp3 songs – are still there and could break your life!
SECURE YOURSELF RIGHT NOW!
REMOVE ALL SPYWARE FROM YOUR PC!
Do not trust SystemSecurity 4.52 and warnings loaded by this application. Remove the infection as soon as possible.
System Security 4.52 is a Rogue Antispyware software
How to manually remove System Security 4.52
To remove System Security 4.52 spyware you must block System Security 4.52 sites, stop and remove processes, unregister DLL files, search and delete all other System Security 4.52 files and registry utility. Follow the System Security 4.52 detection and removal instructions below.

Search for the malicious files on your machine and delete them. This might not work on exe files but you should be able to delete DLL files.

It won’t even let me delete DLL files. Am I done for?
July 9th, 2009 at 4:54 am
This thing is fantastic.
-It keeps me from opening the task manager or any other .exe or .bat.
-I can’t run regedit or any other tools (see above)
-I can’t enter safe mode! I get a BSoD when I try.
I’m game for trying other things, but at the moment this laptop looks like it’s heading for a full reinstall.
If there are any suggestions on how to get around the BSoD after trying to enter safe mode, I’m all ears (or eyes, as the case may be).

Well, you still got one shot left. System Security 4.52 won’t let you delete exe files without killing the processes first, but you can corrupt this malware by deleting other files manually.

My version of the virus won’t let me enter into safe mode. I had to hit ctrl alt delete IMMEDIATELY after I logged in and watch for a process name all made of numbers to show up and kill it. Then, I was able to follow steps for removal. Also kill any processes that are named a b c or d, and the accompanying executable. This is the only thing you can do!! Get it before it loads. Good luck everyone. This thing is nasty!!!

Ashley is right. you can try and open up a program or task manager immediately as the computer loads. i was able to open up malewarebytes and it helped kill the virus. good luck everyone!

Ok, I’ve dealt with most of the virus, with a (scan/delete) from the malware software, and (scan/manual remove) with the Spy Doctor software. I have also removed most of the virus from the windows regestry as well as most of the files that were mentioned in this tutorial. Here is where it gets tricky, the problem is that when I launch an application, it will occasionally get minimized and prompt me to add a website into the favorites. This disrupts my ability to use my computer’s applications, and I need to remove it as soon as possible. I know that this is part of the System Security software, it is to my knowledge that the source of this is from the: svchost.exe (However I am not 100% sure). The problem is that there are six: svchost.exe processes, and if I end a wrong one it will prompt me to restart my computer. If you could tell me what to do at this point that would be great!
(Please try to keep it simple because I am a 15 year old kid, ty)
By the way for those of you that are still in this problem. There is good news for you, system security boots up from a command prompt when you first log in to your computer. By closing it out before it is able to run, will disable to virus for this log in session (Meaning that if you don’t deal with the virus this time the next time you log in the virus will reoccur). But the speed of your processer will determine how long the command prompt will be out and how fast the command will run. Thus if you know that you have a fast CPU this might not work for you because it might not even
shoot up(Due to your CPU speed). The second way I found was to boot off of linix unbuntu. By doing this you will be able to see all the hiden files and delete them quickly and easily, without having to deal with the virus(Note: You will not be able to remove the keys from the system registry because booting off windows is required for that).
This was my sceneario, everyone’s sceneario may be different. I hope I helped!
This was the order I did things:
Close the Command Prompt —> Scan/Delete with malware software —> Delete the files infected —> Scan with Spyware doctor (scan/manual removal) —> Boot off linix and remove the all the hidden files and you couldn’t remove booting off windows.
Thats as far as I got in one day…..

well, SystemSecurity is EVIL, yes it is. but also brilliantly made. when i got infected i just thought “you…. sh-” but then i tried to overspam it (long live the mouse with a built-in “open internet” button)
it couldnt do anything against these many processes at once (took me bout an hour to get pc running from it again). anyway. if these guys wouldnt waste their time and intelligence on a useless ware nobody with more intelligence and experience than a monkey on crack, would buy this ware, they could begin a revolution in the age of personal computers. however, fate and devil maybe have been playing against us again. hopefully the police will be able to kick these peoples… you know what i mean

It’s certainly a shifty blighter – doesn’t matter if you rename files, it still prevents executables, batch files or scr files from running. Its weakness? It has to allow Explorer.exe to run for the Windows shell to appear. So….. rename the file you want to run (for example, HijackThis.exe) to Explorer.exe, and you’ll be in business. Hope this helps.

I got to open msconfig and chose what I wanted to open for start up. That got me able to delete some of the files. I could not find systemsecurity.exe however. For some reason, malawarebytes or any other malware remover does not open still.

You can download security tools on another computer and then copy them to your PC via USB drive or smth like that.

I followed some advice and use the task bar (ctrl, alt, del) before ss 4.52 could load and when it did I pressed end task pretty simple now I have to figure out how to remove it so it won’t be there when I restart…

Well, the Spmming worked.
However instead of trying to use the good ol fashion CTRL+ALT+DEL
Press and hold down CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
Keep it held down for a few sconds to get a about 15 task managers up then open your web browser. this should stall the shutting down of the Task Manager and allow you to delete an .EXE file. I was able to delete 613622941.exe using this tactic. I was then able to install a malware program.
Hope this works for anyone reading it.

Boot your PC in a safe mode and run anti-spyware tools. This is the easier way than deleting the files manually.

I got rid of this virus pretty fast, I had all the problems that are written above, taskmanager crash after 1 sec, couldnt open any program anymore, couldnt install stuff… etc etc
Well, what I did was first get the pc in safe modus, and downloaded malwarebytes (spy doctor didnt work for me). I installed it and restarted pc.
When I restarted I went back to normal modus, quickly when the pc is still starting up but you see your desktop already, press ctrl + alt + del. You dont have much time, only about 3 – 5 sec before it will close down you taskmanager again. Quickly go to processes and close the “384783.exe” (it was a number like this, I dont know excactly) When I closed it, I could work normal with my pc and did a quick scan with malwarebytes. It found 107 infected files, deleted them all, restarted pc, and the virus was gone.
I still have no clue where I got this from since I’ve format my pc yesterday, but im happy I got rid of it pretty fast. Thanks for the help and manual how to delete this.

Boot your computer into safe mode and you should be able to access the Task Manager.

total security virus is evil, it took me 7 hours to fix my pc, i dread to think what damage ive done in the process of trying to get rid of it. it only takes 5 minutes when you know what to do. i couldn’t open anything or run anything so i started the pc in safe mode by pressing one of the f keys when i turned on the pc. then i right clicked on the time at the bottom right of the screen. a menu comes up with task manager, left click this. click on processes and there is a number, there was a long list of other stuff on mine but you need to click on this number, it was the only one that was just a load of numbers on mine, i’d read about this number thing somewhere, click it and then click end process. i then ran malware bytes, it found it with a quick scan.it destroyed it and then requested to restart computer and when it restarted everything was fine. im not sure if removing that number first helped but whatever its gone now. horrible experience, thought my pc was a gonner for sure.good luck, im not usually understanding any technical stuff but it was a case of having to and like i said it took me 7 hours searching the web for a solution and this is what finally did it, i couldnt download any anti virus or anything so if you dont have malware bytes installed i read that you can download it onto a memory stick or external drive and copy paste whatever into your pc that way.hope this info helps someone out there.

I tried to get rid of this TOTAL SECURITY VERSION 4.52 and I am having a problem with this. I am checking out some of the other comments and will try to do what they are saying.
One other thing, I got hold of a lawyer to see how we can stop this System Security 2009 to bug up our systems. It has ruined my chances for a good paying job. They bugged up my e-mail. I am planning on getting them good.
They have put restrictions on some important programs of mine and like I mentioned before my E-MAIL.
I am going to notify my friends and family and they will notify their friends and family to let everyone know that this System Security 2009 is a DANGER TO YOUR COMPUTER.
HOPE THEY WILL STOP THIS.
