I loaded the spyguard 2009 removel tool listed above, however, it will not open up. The hour glass which indicates it is loading, is only on a few seconds. Could the spyguard virus be blocking it? Can I run your program on another PC (server) and have it then scan another drive?

check yout host file and remove all entries except “127.0.0.1 localhost”

Actually, I’m pretty sure you want to keep those in the host file, by leaving them there you are blocking any information coming from that website.

The spyguard file will not let me delete because it says it is protected. is there a way.

If you are trying to delete an *.exe file, first you need to stop process of the file. Just follow the removal guide step by step. If it is different file you want to delete, boot your computer in a safe mode and then try again.

Trial version of Spyware Doctor is free. Have you tried removing malicious files in a safe mode? It should be more effective. We will update Spyware Protect 2009 manual removal; there might be some new files added to the malware.
