SoftStronghold joins the clones’ army of SoftVeteran, SoftCop, TrustFighter and roughly 20 other identical frauds. Soft Stronghold is a fake security application just like previous versions of it.
SoftStronghold is delivered by trojans that spread by pretending to be video codecs or updates for Adobe Flash. Once installed, Soft Stronghold reports numerous infections and offers deleting them after user pay for a license of the program. The paid version doesn’t exist and neither do the threats detected by Soft Stronghold. The tool causes various problems including hijacked web browser, slow performance and disabled security apps. SoftStronghold blames imaginary infections for all what’s wrong and it keeps pushing people into purchasing the program.
