Smart Engine description

Smart Engine is a rogue security application. It works just like many others: SmartEngine reports numerous infections and offers removing them when a user buys full version of the program. If you wonder what is wrong with that, here’s the real deal: Smart Engine is incapable of scanning a computer and detecting threats. It demands money for non-existent services. Furthermore, Smart Engine does not have a full version. Whoever pays for the program, they simply lose their money.

Smart Engine has another annoying “feature”. Most of the things it reports as malicious are totally made-up but some of those are actually malicious files installed by Smart Engine itself. The fraud may keep its victims from accessing the Internet.
