[...] Purchasing SaveSoldier for protecting a computer only makes sense if you want to waste $49.95. Save Soldier is a fake anti-spyware. It’s also a copy-paste of recent SaveKeep fraud. [...]

run ms config (start-run-type msconfig and hit enter)
this will start the system configuration utily
select the 'tools' tab
select 'registry editor' from the list - click launch
click 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
click 'software'
click 'microsoft'
click 'shared tools'
click 'ms config'
click 'startupreg

you should find the file 'savekeep' hiding under it's rock here
delete 'savekeep' the folder and its contents and hopefully this should get rid of it.
worked well for me and got rid of the nasty pop ups.

i'm running windows xp so don't know if it'll be any differernt for vista. i'm no expert but after hours of trying to find a solution and people trying to get me to pay for software to delete this virus, it was a case of trial and error.

hope this works for you

My nephew installed SaveKeep on his laptop, and it immediately began causing problems. He uninstalled the program using add/remove programs. Now the computer will not start. We've tried starting in safe mode with no success. The machine seems to hang up immediately before asking for the logon username and password. Any suggestions?

Try to run Spyware Doctor in a safe mode. SaveKeep shouldn't be able to block the removal this way.

I'm on vista, and when I click the sdsetup.exe on the download list, it doesn't show the option to allow or deny it, it just shows a grey screen until you go to the task manager, help, I want this savekeep thing out of here!
