After a whole day struggling with the thing and trying quite a number of supposed removal tools and anty-spyware, this is the only one that seemed to work. Whoever the author is, bless him.

I knew something was wrong with this stupid protection tool when the fake security center window wouldnt let me change my security settings… they all said they were on, even though I have them turned off… and it kept trying to get me to uninstall my antivirus.

I cannot identify the Protection System process name. It does not show up in Task Manager as “Protection System.exe” I can’t use the automatic removal because my PC is so bogged down whenever I attempt to download the fix.
