I need help! I got the P Center Virus. I am not a technical person and don't have money to take my computer to a technician. Can anyone walk me through how to combat this virus?

Actually, if you are blocked out of your desktop, just press ctl+alt+delete, start task manager, end PCenter, right click on the task manager applications space, start new task, type "control panel", go to "add/remove programs, uninstall PCenter, then restart your computer!

All should now be well... It happened to me and i used this method and it worked completly fine.

Good Luck!

If you reset after thinking you got rid of this program, and you log into vista just to get locked up with its "security scan" do the following:

reboot into safe mode with prompt.
the scanner will start up just Crt Alt Del and goto taskman and kill the agent.exe process.
under run task type: cmd and press enter.

Heres where the DOS generation can really show merrit.
C:\del c:\program files\pcenter\faq\*.*
C:\ ...\pcenter\sounds\sc\*.*
C:\ ...\pcenter\sounds\sp\*.*
C:\ ...\pcenter\images\*.*
C:\ ...\Pcenter\*.*
C:\rd c:\program files\pcenter

and that will remove it from the computer allowing you to boot up normally so you can effectivley clean the registry and dlls and all other stuff.
