I already have Norton Antivirus. It was just installed. However, I just got a notice saying spyware/malware was detected. A check was run and it said everything was okay. Now there is a Nortel icon on my desktop. When I did another check, it still said everything was okay. I am no computer tech and I don’t know how to get rid of this thing and I’ll be DAMNED if I have to take this thing to Staples or Best Buy again. Please tell me if I have anything to worry about, or what I can do myself. Norton says everything is fine, but I can’t take the chance.
Thanks

You should be worried about Nortel on your PC. Norton doesn’t detect it as a problem because Norton basically deals with viruses and Nortel is different type of computer infection. You need a decent anti-spyware to remove Nortel, but you can also use the manual removal guide posted on this page.
