I also downloaded Spyware doctor by saving it to the desktop. It won’t let me open it to run it. I did same with SUPER Antispyware, same result. I copied Malwarebytes to an insertable chip and it wouldn’t let me open the software. The same software is also on my computer and it won’t let me open it. Worse of all is that I CAN NOT OPEN IN SAFE MODE either.

I am paralyzed. Help !
This is a 1 yr. old computer I built that is powerful and has Windows XP on it.

This thing will NOT let me start up in safe mode (the up arrow is disabled) it shuts down all antivirus. I tried RUN/Msconfig…it shut that down. I CAN, however, get on the internet, etc… but am afraid to let it have access to

Hi i’ve had the exact same problem nothing i tried solved the problem but i found by openning up my pc in safe mode (f8) this allowed me to carry out normal functions that i wasn’t allowed to before go to ACCESSORIES then SYSTEM TOOLS then SYSTEM RESTORE and restore back to a previous date the let the pc do its stuff and when it restarts hay presto problem solved.

Just to update.
Used a usb to hard-drive kit and ran up hard-drive on my laptop.
Malaware-Bytes then did the business!

Beware though, this nasty thing also changes your wall paper to red, so you think it’s still active when you put everything back together!

It was the only way I could think of to be able to run any removal program.
Like you said it disables any program through the windows files its associated with. Since the infected drive is now a “slave” drive, those windows files do not run therefore you can run your anti-virus and spyware programs to get rid of it.

You are a genius! My friend also has this and it’s very aggressive. A lot of posters don’t realise that it’s disabling installations, executables, Safe Mode and Task Manager so it’s almost impossible to beat with manual or automatic deletions.
Your idea looks as if it will work.

Had a friend who had this. The only way I could get rid of it and allow me to run any programs was to take the hard drive out, put it in another computer as a slave drive and then I could run Nortons Internet Security to rid the damn thing. I also downloaded Spy Doctor and ran that also. Worked for me, I’m using the computer to write this with.
Thought it may help someone else.

Lsas.Blaster.Keyloger is supposedly detected by several fake programs such as WinWeb Security 2008, System Security, Rapid Antivirus and some others. If you are not sure what to delete, use spyware remover to deal with the infection.

Ive tried everything above. Deleting manually dosent work. It wont allow me to remove any hosts files or anything. Safe mode will not run because of this virus. Done everything you have recommended and still cannot do anything on the computer but browse the net. what should i do now?

Lsas.Blaster.Keylogger is reported by fake security programs in order to push you into buying something. This keylogger doesn’t exist; the program which “detects” Lsas.Blaster.Keyloger is the real problem. Run anti-spyware to delete the malware.

Download anti-spyware install on another computer then copy the file on usb drive and then copy the install to the infected computer. Running anti-spyware scan is the best solution in your case.

im having the same problem i tried everything and my computer wont let me get on anything including control panel when i try to download or anything it just pops upa thing like a download and i press run and it goes away for a sec and pops up again… i tried safe mode and it still wont let me please reply for an answer!

Here’s an idea: your anti-spyware hadn’t removed the files, but since it detected and reported them, you can find and delete the files manually.

Hi Ann, Luciana –
I did download “SpyNoMore” onto a flash from my laptop and successfully installed it onto the infected desktop. Then ran the scan and found the infected files. But then the SpyNoMore application asked me to upgrade/purchase the ability to remove the infected files. And I’m not about to send credit card info via the infected computer. Any further ideas?

I am having the same problem. Spware Doc won’t work in safe mode and neither will Malmware. in normal mode no program will open including and spyware or antivirus but they won’t work in safe mode either, what can I do as I’m struggling to back up work and scared of loosing all files if I do it manually.

I’m having literally the worst week of my life trying to get rid of the Lsas.Blaster.keyloger “fake” Security Warning virus. I had the same problem. To get rid of the problem, I went into safe mode by restarting my computer and hitting F8 before it fully loaded. Then when in safe mode, I hit Enter. This brought me to my Desktop. I was then able to update Adaware and run a scan. It eliminated my spyware problem and everything starting working again. If you do not have Adaware, any of the other programs will most likely get rid of it also, such as Spydoctor, Spybot, etc. Then I hit ESC to exit and rebooted. I was then able to run my antivirus program scan twice and my Adaware four more times to get rid of any cookies or any more spyware. Everything is stable now.

You keep changing the names of your site, and it is very, very frustrating that your web site keeps popping up on my computer. I was sent a web site that will delete your web site, which I did three days ago. Today, it popped up again and showed up in my Control panel. I’m not sure who the authorities in this regard, but I will be certain to check it out if you do not stop sending this stuff. Lsas.Blaster.Keyloger is a fake threat. It is only reported by rogue security programs to convince you to pay for some corrupt tool. Once you remove the fake programs, you won’t receive any more of Lsas.Blaster.Keyloger alerts. Run anti-spyware scan to remove the pop-ups.
