How to remove Cyber Security

Cyber Security description
Cyber Security is a successor of annoying frauds such as Total Security and System Security. It’s easy to mistake CyberSecurity for a real computer protection tool because of its name and user interface. The scam uses other methods of persuasion as well. It demands paying $59.95 for keeping the program but it doesn’t provide user with an option to delete it. Cyber Security is usually installed by trojans upon visiting an infected website. It is also advertised on several fraudulent websites.
The main trick used by CyberSecurity malware is reporting imaginary threats and offering paid version of the tool for deleting the fake infections. Don’t trust this application. It blocks certain programs and websites. Cyber Security may also disable system restore.
Cyber Security is a Rogue Antispyware software
How to manually remove Cyber Security
To remove Cyber Security spyware you must block Cyber Security sites, stop and remove processes, unregister DLL files, search and delete all other Cyber Security files and registry utility. Follow the Cyber Security detection and removal instructions below.
The most typical software removal method is to remove Cyber Security by using "Add or Remove Programs" service. However there may be hidden Cyber Security files, running processes and registries in your computer, so Cyber Security may recreate all other files after reboot.

How do I know that the download cyber security removal tool is for real?
Why did my Norton’s not stop the Cyber Security?

Spyware Doctor is legitimate and reputable spyware remover. Norton wasn’t able to deal with CyberSecurity malware because it’s meant to delete different type of computer infections. You need a spyware remover instead of anti-virus to delete threats like Cyber Security.

Is there any free cyber security removal tool. My system got suddenly infected with this and it restarts the system frequently saying that some threat has beem identified. Its reallyannoying. Could any one suggest me how to block this. Thanks

Threats detected by Cyber Security are not real, so you can ignore them. But CyberSecurity itself is an infection. Run a real spyware remover to delete this or use the manual removal guidelines posted on this page.

Scroll up till you see the title “Cyber Security manual removal instructions”. Follow the tutorial step by step. In this case, you need to stop csc.exe process using Read more how to kill Cyber Security processes tutorial given next to this step. Once your done with this, move to the next step to delete malicious registry entries.

i already install the spyware doctor but still i cant delete cyber security. .but what i try is the trial version,.
October 16th, 2009 at 12:40 am
I downloaded this cyber security and paid for it because I was under the impression it was from a program i already had. Well i talked to a supposed “customer service” person and they told me they would refund my money.. I however do not believe that will happen. I then paid for some windows defense thing out of stupidity I suppose and i can no longer find it on my computer. The shortcut and everything has disappeared. I don’t know what to do. Was the windows defense I paid for a complete scam also?? I don’t know anything about all this… I’m so confused.

Whatever Credit card you used should be locked down, NOW. It’s these kind of programs that try and steal your personal identity.

I had this same problem. I was able to get rid of it WITHOUT PAYMENT to someone else. I burned it to a disk and then went into the “Run” program on my computer(start menu, search programs:Run), typed in “taskmgr” when the box comes up click on image name; look for csc.exe., cs.exe., or cs.exe.32. then click on the “End Process” button, follow the prompts. Good luck, Hope this helps.

can you use McAfee to remove it
Luciana Reply:

McAfee might be able to remove Cyber Security, but you should try deleting this fraud using anti-spyware. McAfee is anti-virus and it’s meant to remove different kind of computer infections.

i shouldn’t have to pay money to remove something from my computer that i didn’t load in. if they put this in without my knowledge which they did why should it cost me if i find out how to them i will sue them for this not everyone has money to throw away like this and it seems its gonna cost me dearly for this crap

You should report them to the Better Business Bureau. That’s what I’m going to do. It’s easy to do online and if enough people do it, there might be a class action lawsuit.

I suggest going through all the steps of manual removal guide. Stopping the processes is not enough to deal with Cyber Security infection.

hi – i just used the manual steps to remove it and it worked. I had tried to delete and also went to DOS to try to delete and rename and it wouldnt let me. After is did the ctrl+alt+del and stopped the process it was easy to get rid of.

my computer is highly infected by cyber security and i try to remove by using remove from controll panel but it is imposible how i delete it?
Luciana Reply:

Cyber Security is not on the Control panel because it’s not a regular program, it’s a computer infection. Run anti-spyware to delete this malware or follow the manual removal guide step by step.
October 27th, 2009 at 4:49 pm
I can’t find…
csc.exe
winsource.dll
Help.lnk
Registration.lnk
Cyber Security.lnk
… on my Windows Task Manager.
I even uninstalled the program which it doesn’t work because it will still keep-on blocking me everytime I go to a website.
October 27th, 2009 at 11:57 pm
csc.exe is the only one that should be on your Task Manager, other files you’ve mentioned should hide on some folders on your PC. If the files are not there, it’s not necessarily a bad thing although they might be named differently.
I’m glad you were able to uninstall the malware. Would you like to share your experience with people who still have the problem? Your advices may be helpful.

I just got done cleaning a system with this infection. It was putting up a “security warning” for every web page I tried to get to using IE. I was able to get to getfirefox.com and click on the download quickly enough before the page was hijacked to the bogus security warning again. After installing Firefox I was able to get to downloads.com and pull down Avast! anti-virus (free home edition anti-virus), malwarebytes (free home edition malware removal) and for good measure, Adaware anti spyware (free home edition).
I ran Avast! update and scanned, it detected Cyber Security and a few other infections, some running in memory, so it asked if it could restart the computer and do a post-boot scan. I did this and when the computer was done scanning (found multiple infections which I moved to the “chest”) XP came up without issues, Cyber Security was gone. I then installed and updated Malwarebytes, ran a scan, cleaned other infections Avast! didn’t catch, but nothing related to Cyber Security. Did the same with Adaware, but there was little more than cookies detected as a potential threat at that point.
After all that, I checked for Avast! updates one more time, ran another full system scan and all comes up clean. Internet Explorer is now behaving as one would expect (though the user should be using the Firefox browser I installed anyway…).
Hope this helps you folks.

thx for info manual way works great

how do i know i completely removed it? also, some of my programs now open but immediately kick me back to the desktop. Also, i sometimes get the cyber space warning still
Luciana Reply:
November 1st, 2009 at 11:35 pm
If you still get the alerts, the malware is not removed yet. Go through the manual removal guide and make sure you remove each thing related to Cyber Security. There’s a chance the warning is loaded by a trojan or adware instead of CyberSecurity. In that case you need to run anti-spyware scan to delete the infection.

This either means the file doesn’t exist on your computer or it exists under different name. Go to the next step of the removal.

Either you hadn’t removed all the malicious files or it is other malware interrupting web browsing. I recommend running anti-spyware scan for both cases.

Note that csc.exe is also the name of the C# (C-Sharp) compiler that’s part of Microsoft’s .Net (Dot-Net) framework. I don’t know a reliable way to tell the legit csc from the bogus one(s). Comments?

when i was going through the spyware doctor scanner, i got another CyberSecurity warning…now i cant interact with the spyware but its still running….so how can i get to the scanner without responding to the cyber security! if i press no my computer will restart , and if i press yes it will probably make the infection worse…help
