Cryptor description

Win32/Cryptor is a typical trojan downloader. It infects computers automatically when malicious websites are visited. It is also distributed via spam emails. It may spread via peer-to-peer programs as well.

Cryptor is dangerous because of its ability to download and install malware secretly. It may also interrupt normal use of the infected PC by terminating certain system processes.

Running anti-spyware scans regularly is a recommended precaution to locate or prevent stealth infections such as Win32Cryptor.

How to manually remove Cryptor

To remove Cryptor spyware you must block Cryptor sites, stop and remove processes, unregister DLL files, search and delete all other Cryptor files and registry utility. Follow the Cryptor detection and removal instructions below.

The most typical software removal method is to remove Cryptor by using "Add or Remove Programs" service. However there may be hidden Cryptor files, running processes and registries in your computer, so Cryptor may recreate all other files after reboot.

If by “this program” you mean the removal tool, then the malware is blocking it. Boot your PC in a safe mode and you should be able to use the anti-spyware.

I found this virus on my computer and was not able to run any programs. I was able to run malwarebytes however by renaming it as “winlogon.exe” then right click, run as, and unchecking “protect my computer…” after running malwarebytes, i was able to run otherp programs including the removal tool. hope this helps
