Control Center spreads with help of trojans. It may disable security tools and make the infected system vulnerable to other malware. It may also redirect web browser to malicious websites.

THERE IS A WAY WHEN THE WINDOW OF CONTROL CENTRE APPEARS CLICK SETTINGS AND I THINK THERE ARE 3 OPTIONS AT THE TOP CLICK THE 2 HICH TALK ABOUT CLOSING IT AND STARTING WINDOWS NORMALLY SAVE THE SETTINGS AND EXIT THE BOX THEN A MESSAGE WILL COME UP BUT JUST CLICK YES.
THIS WONT REMOVE CONTROL CENTRE YOU WILL HAVE TO DO THE SAME THING EVERYTIME YOU TURN THE COMPUTER ON.

Hi Anyone infected with Control Centre Malware.
It can be removed EVEN though it does take control. Follow these steps.
Download a virus check/malware check software onto another computer and save on memory stick
Insert Stick into infected computer
Now on the infected computer
Load TaskManager (CTL-ALT_DEL)
Click on Applications Tab
Click on New Task
On the Create New Task window click on Browse
Search your computer for the program on the memory stick and install the software. (I had to do it twice before it worked)
I used Avira and ran it
Now I went into Task Manager again
Now look for explorer.exe in the Windows Folder and Run that.
Now you can load the RAEL Control Centre and remove the software.
Now you can delete the b…..rd program as per the instructions on this page.
Run Regedit and delete the necessary registry keys as per this site page
And there you hve half a mornings work. now to get down to my real job

The best way is manually restart the computer and pres f8 during the black screen appears and start the windows in safe mode then restore the system to a previous point

Unfortunately, when I boot into safe mode in windows vista, the same Control Center screen comes up. However, in safe mode you cannot reach the settings icon to save the settings and be able to close the window. In normal mode I cannot kill the processes, in fact I am told I do not have access even under the Administrator account. If I search the web from the same pc, and find an article relating to removing the Control Center I am redirected to another webpage… This thing is insidious. I have removed the HD from the system and currently scanning it with MalwareBytes as a USB drive. Hope this helps.
