CleanThis description
CleanThis presents itself as the official and legitimate tool for Windows operating system. Although the design of this app may resemble some Windows tools, the “Clean This” tool is only an imitation. It is able to mimic security warnings but it is not able to detect infections. It demands paying for deleting malware but it’s incapable of doing it. CleanThis itself is a computer parasite made to trick people. Do not purchase CleanThis!
CleanThis brings tons of annoying pop-ups but it’s not the only function of this fraud. It’s made to confuse people so it may disable real security apps. CleanThis may also hijack web browser and redirect it to deceptive websites.
CleanThis is a Rogue Antispyware software

very helpful. I actually had to enter the safe mode in command line to get this bugger out of my registry. It wouldn’t let me open the task manager!

Thanks. managed to open directories and find and then rename gog.exe first, then shut down (despite warnings!), rebooted, then task manager opened fine. Went thourgh your manual procedure and so far so good!. Nasty thing that kicked in off the back of ESET NOd 32 spotting the trojan, so initially thought it was linked to NOD 32. Looked a bit suspicious to start with, but when it started asking for cash to complete the work, felt really wrong. Thanks again
