Apcprotect a.k.a. APCProtector is the new version of ProtectPcs and SysDefence frauds. The only new thing about “A PC Protect” is the title of the program. The malware is basically the same; it presents itself as a paid security kit while it’s not capable of working as anti-virus or anti-spyware.
APCProtect fabricates security warnings, system tray alerts and computer scan reports. All those messages are meant to intimidate victims into purchasing the fraudulent program.
