There are more files to delete to erase Alpha Anti virus completely. Use the manual removal guide to deal with this malware.

I tried all sorts of things but I just went into the operatating files, found the file and put the file in recycle. It all went away, I then went into remove and modify programs in my computer and it was still there but when I hit delete, the program said that it had already been deleted.

If you are sure that every thing related to Alpha Antivirus is gone, this must be another malware “advertising” the fraud. I still recommend using some anti-spyware tool to deal with the problem.

So finally today I was able to remove alpha antivirus on the add and remove programs in control panel. It did not work earlier; it finally worked because I deleted all the folders having to do with alpha antivirus on my computer. However, I am still having problems with the internet. even though alpha antivirus doesnt show on my computer, i still get the warning sign whenever i go on the internet. it states:

Warning! Visiting this site may harm your computer!
This web site probably contains malicious software program, which can cause damage to your computer or perform actions without your permission. your computer may be infected after visiting such a web site.
we recommend you to install ( or activate) antivirus security software.

Can anyone please let me know how I can stop this from happening again?

i did this but when i go to control panel and to add and remove programs its still on there and it cannot be removed. and i still have some sites that are blocked. what can i do?

OMG!!! Thank you sooooooooo much! It worked!!! I installed it yesterday because it told me I had a Trojan but when I went on youtube and nick.com it said it was dangerous I KNEW something was up. I searched it on the internet and I was brought here! I tried my virus scans and everything, I even saw it scan the file, but it didn’t catch it! Anyway, thank you sooooo sosososososososooo much! I’m FREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can download and run “Malwarebytes” anti-malware program which will scan your computer for this junk and remove it. If you have already paid for this fake alpha anti-virus program, you may need to first go to Start – Run – type in msconfig and then go to the list of programs in your startup and uncheck the alphaa… then reboot so that that crap doesn’t come up at startup and it may give you a chance to breath and download the Malwarebytes program. Good luck. I got it on mine but never paid for the fake program. I always clicked ‘no’ to every popup it prompted me to do something. I had a friend who did pay for it and its harder to remove. Could not remove in add/remove programs. It locks up as soon as you click remove. My friend called a ’support line’ for them to report problems and to get a refund but got runaround. I doubt he ever gets his money back.

before u do any thing i would suggest u delete all AAV “programs” off the cpu. i deleted the desktop items and deleted the ones in windows explorer and tht stopped some of the pop ups

I went into task manager and ended Alpahave.exe but i couldnt find netfilter.exe. but it says it is gone but every time i try to go on a website it is still blocked. I dont know what else to do and i just bought a new computer. Plz help.

I used the spyware doctor and alpha antivirus came off the computer but it still says the same thing when i try to use internet explorer and now my mouse is sticking what went wrong

i have deleted this daft thing lol click ctrl ald delete go to task manager clik on proccess thn find the file mine was caled alpha exe right clik and press find file location when it has found it go bk on your task manager and clik on the file agen and press end process dont close the task manager just minimize it go to the file location and delete the file thats their and then go to start settings control panel then clik on add or remove hardware find it their and clik uninstall and it should work then close your task manager and ay presto lol

alpha.exe is another process name, also in registry it shows up under AAntivirus. Triggered a fake crash screen, and was able to get into task manager from there to stop process. Did not find any of the files listed above, just need to look for variants.

This happens because Alpha Antivirus tries to prevent you from deleting the infection. Start your PC in a safe mode and then follow the removal guidelines.

We are going to update the manual removal soon. And for now I recommend running anti-spyware to do the job for you since the manual removal doesn’t seem to be helpful in your case.

Alright. Much of this information should be changed. I recently had to remove Alpha Antivirus form a computer and many of the files have different names. For example: the folder in which the program is located was called AAntivirus.

I have done everything that you have suggested, but it seems to have mutated or something because it won’t allow me to stop in processes…the registry entries are not there..I can’t seem to make anything work, and it stops me from deleting it using the basic uninstalling!
any other suggestions this is driving me CRAZY!

i had alpha antivirus on my computer and i removed it with this process

ctrl+alt+del
click on task manager
go to processes
search 4 d dammn thing
righ click and click on end process.

Be sure and stop the Alpha AV processes, otherwise it will not be able to be removed. Taks Manager->Processes then sort alphabetically. Select the correct row and right click and select end process.
