The purpose of Alpha Antivirus is not protecting a computer. The goal is making people pay for using non-functional software.
Alpha Anti Virus is a computer parasite. It displays infection alerts and system scan results to trick users into taking the tool as a real deal. All the messages and warnings loaded by AlphaAntivirus are falsified. Don’t trust this program and don’t spend your money on a malware.
Alpha Antivirus is not only annoying but it’s also dangerous. It redirects web browser to malicious websites. Alpha Anti Virus also slows a computer down and it may even disable real security programs. AlphaAntivirus is also capable of stealing passwords.
Alpha Antivirus interrupts web browsing and loads the following message:

We recommend you to install (or activate) antivirus security software.
I do realize that visiting this site can cause harm to my computer.

Be sure and stop the Alpha AV processes, otherwise it will not be able to be removed. Taks Manager->Processes then sort alphabetically. Select the correct row and right click and select end process.

This would be helpful if you didn’t have to purchase the software to get rid of it!! This only confirms that it’s bad. Thanks for nothing.

I have done everything that you have suggested, but it seems to have mutated or something because it won’t allow me to stop in processes…the registry entries are not there..I can’t seem to make anything work, and it stops me from deleting it using the basic uninstalling!
any other suggestions this is driving me CRAZY!

We are going to update the manual removal soon. And for now I recommend running anti-spyware to do the job for you since the manual removal doesn’t seem to be helpful in your case.

When I try to go into my Task Manager – I’m getting the error message “Task manager has been disabled by your administrator”

This happens because Alpha Antivirus tries to prevent you from deleting the infection. Start your PC in a safe mode and then follow the removal guidelines.

Alright. Much of this information should be changed. I recently had to remove Alpha Antivirus form a computer and many of the files have different names. For example: the folder in which the program is located was called AAntivirus.

alpha.exe is another process name, also in registry it shows up under AAntivirus. Triggered a fake crash screen, and was able to get into task manager from there to stop process. Did not find any of the files listed above, just need to look for variants.

You can download and run “Malwarebytes” anti-malware program which will scan your computer for this junk and remove it. If you have already paid for this fake alpha anti-virus program, you may need to first go to Start – Run – type in msconfig and then go to the list of programs in your startup and uncheck the alphaa… then reboot so that that crap doesn’t come up at startup and it may give you a chance to breath and download the Malwarebytes program. Good luck. I got it on mine but never paid for the fake program. I always clicked ‘no’ to every popup it prompted me to do something. I had a friend who did pay for it and its harder to remove. Could not remove in add/remove programs. It locks up as soon as you click remove. My friend called a ’support line’ for them to report problems and to get a refund but got runaround. I doubt he ever gets his money back.
