resetting IE try this, go to the C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Connection Wizard\Run inetwiz.exe\select Connect Using LAN if you are on a Local Area Network, Check Auto Discovery of proxy server, uncheck manual proxy server if checked. Skip setting of email (optional). Hope this helps although you have connectivity.

You can also do the following: 1) Click ‘Start’ and choose ‘Run’ 2) Open ‘regedit’ 3) Go to ‘Edit’ > ‘Find…’ 4) Search for ‘click.w3i.com’. That will lead you to the registry key for ‘Tabs’. Double click that and change the value to whatever you want. Then Reboot PC. So when you open a new tab, it will not go to my.freeze.com anymore.

The true issue with viruses and spyware is always that most individuals are incredibly lazy on the subject of removing malware from their computer. Maybe a bunch of people are not really technical, but with several of the instructions you have given it ought to be straightforward to remove viruses.

How do I find my.freeze.com in FireFox (mozilla). I searched the registry for the file noted and it was not there. Have Spyware Doctor installed and it doesn’t seem to catch and delete this file.

There are two main things you can do: 1st, make sure your antimalware is updated and then run it while the internet connection is disabled; 2nd, get myfreeze.com on the blocked websites list, here’s the tutorial for that: http://www.spywarevoid.com/how-to-block-malicious-websites-using-hosts-file
